The Mentor Method teams up with Washington DC Economic Partnership

The Mentor Method to provide services in support of WDCEP Pathways Scholarship recipients

(ALEXANDRIA, Va. — May 25, 2017) — The Mentor Method has been selected by the Washington DC Economic Partnership to provide mentor-matching for its Pathways Scholarship program. The program is designed to create tech opportunities for under and unemployed communities in DC. The goal is to include those who have been excluded by providing a program with resources, training, employment and ongoing support.

“I started The Mentor Method to create a world where minorities and women in tech are viewed as assets, not a way to check a box,” said Janice Omadeke, founder and CEO of The Mentor Method. “The partnership with WDCEP is an incredible opportunity to see this mission come to life and have a positive impact on the future of DC.”

“We are thrilled to partner with The Mentor Method on this program to help Washington, DC create the workforce of the future.” Said Kevin Morgan, Director of Tech Sector Attraction and Retention at the Washington DC Economic Partnership. “By including the excluded, training the untrained, and employing the under- and unemployed, we’re building a diverse workforce with the technical skills required to compete in the 21st century marketplace.”

With companies including Byte Back, Thinkful, Beacon, and In3, The Mentor Method will be the leading provider of mentor matching for the Pathways Scholarship program. The Mentor Method’s patent-pending algorithm will create mentor connections that will help future tech professionals receive authentic, practical advice to take them beyond a simple certification and make them successful employees with a stronger understanding of professional acumen.

The Mentor Method, a female, minority-owned company based in Alexandria, Va., creates inclusive workplace cultures through mentoring diverse tech talent. For more information, visit
